MOSCOW, Jan 28 (PRIME) -- Russian president Vladimir Putin did not allow mining in the Irkutsk and Krasnoyarsk regions and the republic of Karelia, the areas with surplus of electricity, presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told PRIME late on Thursday.
“No, such proposals were not even formulated,” Peskov said.
Bloomberg reported quoting sources that Putin supported a Russian government proposal to tax and regulate mining of cryptocurrencies, and rejected central bank’s proposal to ban it.
